Victorian Porch

We are currently rebuilding an 8×12 porch on a Victorian era house.  The deck had to be reinforced and the decking surface and the stairs redone.  The decking is 1×4 mahogany prefinished with Cabot Australian Timber Oil.  The railings are Azek composite railings.  The old traditional railings look nice but they do not meet code for railing height and they are difficult to keep  painted.  We also replaced the old gutter over the porch.  It was actually still in good condition except for the paint.  It was made of a tight grained cypress and was probably as old as the house.
